Sometimes I Forget

A site dedicated to helping people live longer healthier lives.

After a recent doctor's appointment, I became aware of a major health problem. My doctor explained to me that over half of the medications prescribed today are not taken correctly. This really hit home with me, after having seen this occur with friends and family. I therefore decided to research the subject further and I came to the conclusion that this is a bigger problem than most people are aware of. I realized that there had to be a better way. Therefore, I have created this service to help people who have trouble remembering to take their medication, or are just having "one of those days", that we've all had.

When you sign up with us you will receive a message asking you if you took your medicine, at which point you will think "Yes I did" or, "no I didn't…thank you for calling".

This service is designed to be a helpful reminder, please do not rely upon this service to take your medicine. This service is just to help ensure that when you do have "one of those days" that your health and well being will not be compromised as well.

According to the World Health Organization the non-compliance rate for long term therapies averages 50%. Meaning about one half of the 2 billion prescriptions filled each year are not taken correctly. The New York Times referred to this as the world's "other drug problem". You see, 10% of all hospital admissions and almost 30% of all admissions to nursing homes are due to improperly taken prescription medications. The numbers are staggering, there are 3.5 million patients admitted to the hospital per year, at a cost of $15.2 billion, and 380,000 new nursing home admissions per year, at a cost of $31.3 billion. Thousands of people die each year simply because they fail to take their medication on time as prescribed, with more than 125,000 deaths occurring in the cardiovascular area alone, and accounting for billions in excess healthcare costs.

What we would like you to do, is tell your doctor that you have signed up for this program and to keep a record of how much better you are doing. If we can show the health care industry how much money we are saving them, then maybe we can get them to pay for half if not all of your cost for this service. The cost of this service is minimal, and we firmly believe that with the soaring costs of health care today, that the healthcare industry would actually jump at the opportunity to save themselves the substantial costs that improper taking of prescription medications cost them each year.

Firmly believing this as we do, our goal is to prove to the health care industry that this program is and will be effective in aiding people to take their medications properly, thus saving lives, and hospitalization costs, which in turn saves the health care industry substantial sums of money.

This company is dedicated to providing our service at minimal costs to our customers. The cost is a mere $5.00 a month. This cost covers up to three reminders a day, everyday, year round. Should you require more than three reminders a day, please contact us and a customer service representative will work with you personally, to find the most cost effective way to arrange this.

Your privacy is important. Therefore we will not ask you what type of medications you are taking, only the times you have to take them. Furthermore, we will not disclose any personal information that you provide to us, to anyone not involved in providing our service.
